- Spinach Leaves : A handfull
- Moong Daal : 1/4th cup
- Rice : 4 tablespoons
- Garlic pods : 4
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
- Salt : According to Taste
- Oil :1 tablespoon
- Wash the spinach leaves and chop them roughly
- Wash the Moong Dal and Rice
- Mince the Garlic
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker
- Add the chopped garlic
- Fry the garlic till it become light brown
- Add chopped Paalak leaves, give it a stir and add salt
- When the Paalak releases water add the mix of Rice and Dal
- Add Turmeric powder and fry in low heat for about a minute
- Add water, about 3 times of the total quantity of Rice-Dal mix
- Cover the lid of the pressure cooker and cook in low heat till 2 whistles.
- Once done, open the pressure cooker and blend the khichdi (if required)
- Dish out in a bowl and add 1/2 tsp of Ghee (clarified Butter).
